I have got a fissure just inside my vagina, on the entrance. What might have caused this and how can i fix it. I have been sore to the touch on the lips of my vagina for the last week but with no other symptoms. The fissure seemed to develop very quickly. Please help.

Thrush could be a cause of fissuring, particularly if you are feeling sore on the lips of the vagina. Try treating yourself for thrush. You can buy remedies over the counter from any chemist; make sure you get some cream to rub on the external area as well as an intra-vaginal treatment. If things do not resolve, you should consult either your doctor (or the practice nurse) or your local genitourinary clinic.
